Dan Sinclair is currently a 2D MFA Student at Cranbrook Academy of art, and will graduate in May 2013. He is interested in creating a convergence between graphic design, fine art, and research. Merging these otherwise separate art forms together in his practice has allowed Sinclair to do both practical, clearly informative projects, as well as expressive experimental form making. He works in many different realms including, corporate industry for clients, nonprofit organizations and self initiated studio projects. He uses design projects as a way to manifest various interests and surfaces by shaping material contexts for communities as a way to learn from audiences and cultures. Sinclair has instincts for developing design projects as a means of mining communities with an anthropological eye.
