Dries Deriemaeker (Belgium, 1988) is a graphic designer who mastered the digital workspace which is fundamental to start working on any design. The work he presents always looks slick, very clean and simple. Because a simple concept is a solid base for a decent and lasting design. The underlying idea in his work is sharp and humorous. Because in his opinion, graphic design these days is too serious. The last five years, during his education at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent, he made some self-imposed rules and limitations to his work and the way heproduces his work. His produced work is mostly black and white, very rarely using one or more colors to make his designs more powerful. Symmetry is very important to him and is also one of the self-imposed rules he likes to follow when he’s designing.
