Lieux Communs

Artist and graphic designer studio, Lieux Communs founded in 2001 by Jocelyn Cottencin develops an entire practice.
The graphic project here is synonymous with experimentation and creativity. In this lab, the economy of a command is not proportional to the time spent on the creation, and it is not a source of compromises. The studio can be proud of its report to the typo. Formal issue that problematizes and develops through research and controls, the typo is a personal territory, near the narration. Never completed, scalable, almost organic.
Lieux Communs work with contemporary art, design catalogs, objects. Jocelyn Cottencin and his studio have developed for the choreographic center of Tours a principle of identity where they lead an observation about the city and its inhabitants, and disturb the boundaries between the everyday lives of residents and hyperspecialized scene of dance. In the field of Graphic design, they are objects, which must understand the operation, composite images, complex, which must decode the typos still images, which are already reading in themselves. This wealth is in contrast to a graphic that would be defined as a punch image it plot, irritated. Communication is necessarily linked to cultural factors, societal, plastics.
