Based in Stuttgart and Istanbul, Mauser is a work studio, which was founded by Asli Serbest and Mona Mahall in 2007. It represents the practice and research of the Micro Architecture Unit Star Energy Ray. Micro architecture unit does not mean any genres at first, rather it describes a conceptual approach towards making, which, for Mauser, is a question of authorship, of experiment, of meticulous cultural contextualizing and research. Star energy ray indicates Mauser’s fascination with magic, more precisely with the economical and ecological problem of doing something out of nothing.
