Rachelle Dufour

Rachelle Dufour (1991, Lommel) graduated in 2013 with a masters degree in graphic design from Media, Arts & Design Faculty (Hasselt), recently worked parttime at Sign (Brussels) and is currently founding her own studio. Previous year she has worked as a junior designer at Design is Dead (Antwerp) and assisted the project ‘Disarming Design from Palestine’ at Bureau DeVet (Brussels).

As a digital native, she grew up in a constantly changing world. Traditional facets of the area such as typography and crafts coexist with topics like open source-, social-, generative- and post-digital design. This stimulated her to investigate the role of the graphic designer within the ongoing technological innovations in art and design whilst considering its socio-political aspects.
